24 units of the battery GzV 2-1000 are installed horizontally on the battery racks, connected in series making a 48V-1000Ah battery bank (per rack), and 10 banks connecting in series again making a battery system 480V-1000Ah.
Key Features & Technology of OPzV Battery
OPzV: Stands for "O" (Ohne Blei-Säure-Zusatz – without lead-acid addition, meaning gelled), "Pz" (Panzerplatte – tubular plate), "V" (Ventilgeregelt – valve-regulated).
Gel Electrolyte: Fumed silica immobilizes the sulfuric acid into a gel, preventing spills, allowing any-position installation, and eliminating water loss.
Tubular Positive Plates: Robust design with lead-calcium alloy grids for high corrosion resistance and extended cycle life.
